Ethan was born in 2005 with congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV). He was born profoundly deaf and now hears through bilateral cochlear implants. Ethan is also apraxic and as a result uses ASL for his expressive communication. He sees many doctors and therapists and is making huge strides in his development. (And he's a smart, sweet, adorable little fellow.)

I love those pictures! That is one friendly cat- ours just run away from our kids! Pets are so important for kids.
This cat would never tolerate anyone else carrying him around like that, but he has always been really gentle with Ethan. They've been playmates for 3 years and counting.
OMG he is so cute and grown up looking, our boys are getting bigger but still look very alike which I love.
