Ethan was born in 2005 with congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV). He was born profoundly deaf and now hears through bilateral cochlear implants. Ethan is also apraxic and as a result uses ASL for his expressive communication. He sees many doctors and therapists and is making huge strides in his development. (And he's a smart, sweet, adorable little fellow.)

Yay!!! Obama was not even 10 miles from my house yesterday; I SOO wanted to be there.

We never get cool political rallies out here in NY- Obama will win this state no matter what so we haven't had a chance to go to one! I keep hoping he'll stop by Erie, PA since that is close by (g)!
