His bear can hear!

Ethan is so happy to see his buddy Kacie the Koala wearing his cochlear implant. We've had this bear for over a year without the toy implant as it was on back order. Cochlear finally sent it to us yesterday and now all of a sudden the bear is getting some attention from a certain little guy.

We are about to leave for our 3 hour drive to Cincinnati where Ethan will see a speech therapist and his ENT/surgeon. Satellite radio will be my companion and Ethan will spend some quality time in the back seat with a portable dvd player. Signing Time dvd's to the rescue!

OMG, Heather, that is the most adorable picture!!!!

I wish I had know you didn't have the pieces. I have three sets (long story). I would have sent a set to you!

Toes loves her Cochler bear. It is her security blanket. She has worn the fur off in so many places. She doesn't even have an interest in the play CI parts, she just loves the bear itself.

I can't figure out why. It isn't the most cuddly thing.

Good luck in Cincy.

Loving that picture!!! He just keeps getting cuter and cuter. What a smile. That is such a great idea, putting the Cochler on the bear.

Drive safe on the trip. Hope you don't hit any snow.

That is WAY cute!! He looks so happy! I have a monkey named Buddy that has a CI (AB's mascot)...one of my dear friends at AB sent him when I had my second surgery...and my girls just loved him...took the processor off and put it back on over and over for days! So much fun! :)

The cochlear bear is so cute (and so is Ethan). We have three Advanced Bionics Monkeys floating around our house :)

Hope your drive was uneventful!

So I was just sitting here feeling sorry for myself that Emmi's appointment today is at 5pm in the medical center. Which means I will be in Houston traffic on the way home, making the twenty minute drive last at least an hour and a half. Then I saw that you had a THREE HOUR drive, and I am very thankful that I live in a city that has all of the doctors and therapist we need.

I hope both the drive and the appointment go well.
