"The Good" by Rachel Coleman

It was you and me and the whole world right before us...
I couldn’t wait to start.
I saw you and dreams just like everyone before us, we thought we knew what we got...

And then one day I thought it slipped away
And I looked to my hands to hold on
And then one day all my fear slipped away
And my hands did so much more

So maybe we won’t find easy
But, baby, we’ve found the good
No, maybe we won’t find easy
But, baby, we’ve found the good!

This song comes from one of Ethan's Signing Time videos. They have indeed changed his life by giving him the gift of sign, which he freely learns from Rachel but not so easily from mom and dad. She's magical and we love her! This song reminds me of a new friend I've made, Signing Time has also changed her daughter's life.

Awww. It indeed has. Rachel commented on my blog once. I felt like a rockstar. And then, she emailed me! Wow. *lol* I'm thinking of having it framed. Hahaha! Okay, maybe it will just go in the baby book.

I'm so glad you and Kyla found each other.

What a beautiful photo of a beautiful brown-eyed boy!

What a beautiful song, such powerful words. I then went to Kyla's blog and I am so glad I did. I can see why the words remind you of this very special person. Two very amazing moms, finding each other in this huge blogging world. Very cool. By the way, please let her know I would be happy to help her with the IEP process, as it is a very overwhelming and frustrating part of getting the needed services.

Love the picture picture of Ethan. His brown eyes get me every time.

Have a good week. Really good post, as always. XOXO

What beautiful words. I have to find that one so I can "hear it to music" ... and see it too.

All these lovely people, all these delightful human beings, all these great individuals helping one another to be whole.

Hi there. I love this song! It is such a powerful reminder about how special our kids are, no matter what the challenges in raising them. You are not alone! We love Signing Time at our house.

I'm (and my family) a Signing Time fan too. I love the songs and listen to the SHINE CD all the time in the car. I'm glad I ran across your blog.

I'm so glad that you and your family have discovered ST and that it has made such a difference in your lives. We are a ST family, too! The entire Shine album touches me each time I hear it.

Your son is a little cutie!! :)

I need to read more on your blog but wanted to let you know...that song is so powerful to me as well. I have twins that aren't talking and last summer when it was becoming more of a 'reality' I used to listen to that song over an over again.

"Maybe we won't find easy but baby we found the good!"
